This is mostly the residences. The academic buildings are behind the trees at the top left. Our house is further up the hill. |
We moved to India in July 2002 to work at Woodstock School. Woodstock is a 150-year-old international school located in the first range of the Himalaya, at around 7,000'. It has around 470 students, boys and girls, of whom around 400 are in boarding. Teachers come from India (50%) and from the rest of the world (50%) - the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden.. I'm sure to have missed one or two. It makes for an interesting community.
Pete's job is Communications Manager, so having spent untold hours on the school website, he's not going to repeat it all - follow the link on the left for more information. The ONLINE link is to the news section of the website. If you're interested in coming to study here, look at the SAGE website.
Dot has a variety of jobs - Head of Religious Education, UK College Counsellor, Exam Officer - so she's kept busy. For more about us click here.
There's lots of alumni websites all over the place, and lots of Woodstock-related material on the web. I've just listed one site here - Deirdre' Straughan's. That's because (a) it's got lots of great stuff on it; (b) she links to mine; (c) she has a nice house in Italy and I need to keep well in with her.
